Seminar Details

Operated on a no-charge basis, by military spouses for military spouses, our vision is to equip participants with the skills necessary to positively impact all communities they touch, now and in the future.

Our intensive three-day seminar provides an opportunity for spouses to learn and hone skills in leadership, communication, team dynamics, and goal setting. This flagship program empowers both emerging and established leaders in the spouse community across all services and ranks. The skills developed through the seminar can be applied to the military community, volunteer and community organizations, and participants' own professional careers.

Our next seminar will be held March 1-3, 2022 on Kadena Air Base. Registration for this seminar has closed.

FAQ

Do I have to attend all 3 days?

Yes. The seminar is a 3-day commitment.  The seminar runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day. Doors open at 8:00 AM for an optional Networking Breakfast buffet, which we encourage our participants to attend so that they may make connections with other spouses. All seminar participants are requested to arrive no later than 8:45 AM to ensure readiness before the prompt start at 9 AM. If this is not conducive to your schedule at this time, we request that you register for another date more convenient for you.

Once my registration request is submitted, am I automatically confirmed for the seminar?

No. You will receive a confirmation email from the Registration Coordinator when you have been confirmed into the seminar. If you have not been notified of a confirmed seat or a wait-list status within one week after registration closes, please contact us at olspresident@gmail.com.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. The dress code is Business Casual. We ask that you refrain from wearing denim, shorts, tank tops, or flip-flops.

Does OLS reimburse me for childcare/travel costs?

No.  As a program, we do not reimburse for childcare/travel costs. Please arrange for any needed childcare upon acceptance to the seminar.

If I just show up on the day of the seminar, will I be allowed to stay?

No. Seating is limited and we prepare in advance for a personalized experience for each of our participants. Every seat will be committed via registration and any cancellations will be filled from the wait-list.

What should I do if I have a confirmed seat, but something changes and I can no longer attend?

Because of the limited number of seats that are in high demand, please register for the seminar only if you are confident you can attend all three days, as required. We understand that sometimes life can be altered suddenly and unexpectedly. If that happens after you receive a confirmed seat, please contact the Administration Team Leader at olsaddyteamleader@gmail.com as soon as possible so that your seat can be filled from the waitlist.

What is provided?

Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments are provided for participants on each day of the seminar. Altermate dining facilities and a coffee shop are also available at the event location.

OLS also provides writing utensils, a comprehensive curriculum binder, and notebook for participants.
